Please note: when you install Syncovery on DSM 7 with these packages, it will no longer run as root.
You will need to edit the permissions of the folders and/or shares on your NAS to allow the new Syncovery user access.
You will find the pre-defined Syncovery user in the list of predefined users when editing folder permissions in File Station.
Just right-click a folder, click Properties, then Permissions. Choose “Apply to this folder, sub-folders and files”.
Click the Create button and choose the Syncovery user and give it all required permissions.

Alternatively, you can preserve root capabilities. To do so, you can use our new Syncovery Linux Installer Utility for Windows.

The Syncovery Guardian is now included in the DSM 7 packages.
If you already have the standalone Guardian installed, you need to uninstall it before updating Syncovery with the native DSM7 packages.
