The MagentaCLOUD can be selected on either side of a profile in Syncovery. To do this, proceed as follows:

Creating a session password via the cloud:

Visit the security settings of your MagentaCLOUD at https://magentacloud.de/settings/user/sessions.
Create a new session at the bottom of the page, for example under the name Syncovery, and note the associated user name and password.

Connecting the Syncovery profile to MagentaCLOUD:

Create a profile in Wizard Mode or in Advanced Mode
In the profile, click on the Internet button next to the folder details on the left or right side
Change the protocol from FTP to WebDAV.
Enter the user ID and password of the MagentaCLOUD session from point 1
Enter this URL:
https://magentacloud.de/remote.php/webdav
Now you can click on the Browse button next to the folder field to select the desired folder.
Click OK to exit the dialog window and return to the rest of the profile settings.

After these steps, your MagentaCLOUD is ready for use with Syncovery.
