Re: Is there a way to specify an external compression tool?

Hello,
each uploaded file or block is verified with an MD5 checksums that Syncovery calculates locally, and Azure calculates on their side. If there is an MD5 mismatch, Syncovery will raise an exception and re-upload the file until it matches, or if the number of retries is exceeded, it will error ...

Re: Is there a way to specify an external compression tool?

Recovery records are not necessary or useful when uploading to Azure. Corruption does not happen on Azure, or if it does, files are gone completely and not partially.

There could be hacks to invoke WinRAR but I do not believe it will be useful. You could possibly use two Syncovery jobs, one to make ...

Re: SSH vs SMB vs NFS mount

Hello,
in the meantime, the latest Syncovery has a feature on the SMB dialog where you can choose to let it mount SMB shares rather than using the smbclientlib. Mounted shares have a few advantages, such as the ability for multithreading and no issues with percent signs.

Re: Please help me delete on scheduled/unattended run

Hello,
in the last screenshot, you did not place the checkmark:

X Unattended File Deletion Allowed

In addition, please note that the limits of 20% and 1000 can also cause deletions to be disabled if there are too many files to delete. That means if you make an artificial test with only 20 files ...

Re: Two-way sync doesn't delete

Hello,
yes, to use the Recycle Bin, you would choose "Delete Permanently" on the SmartTracking dialog.

And then in the "Files" settings category, on the tab sheet "Deletions", you can enable the Recycle Bin (in fact it should be enabled by default for deleted files).

Re: Two-way sync doesn't delete

Yes, the default SmartTracking action for deleted files is to ignore them. So you need to click the Configure button to specify what to do with deleted files.

Re: B2 - Exact Mirror - Left to Right - Not deleting folders on right side

Hello,
Syncovery does not create or delete folders on B2.

The existence of folders is merely implied by files having a certain path.

If you copy to a fresh bucket only with Syncovery, you should not have any issues. How were the folders created?

Re: Web GUI JSON Error with Non-English Paths in Config (Since v10.14.9+)

Hello,

OK so I've tried the complete Russian alphabet in both profile names and paths and cannot confirm the problem at all. Everything just works.

To be able to use Russian letters in profile names, you need to set the "Language for non-Unicode programs" in Windows to Russian. I assume you have ...
