Syncovery on cachyOS / Arch Linux

Hey forum,

I run Syncovery on two Windows 11 machines creating daily on-premise (2nd hard drives and NAS via SMB) as well as remote backups (sftp).
Now, I like to change the OS to cachyOS, which is an Arch Linux based OS.
I am not that new to Linux, but certainly no expert.
My thought was to expor the Syncovery profiles, install Syncovery on cachyOS, import the profiles and there we go.

Sadly, there is no package that is compatible with Arch Linux.
I therefore choose the Debian .deb package and transformed it using debtap.
This package I could install and create a daemon. The daemon does not start properly:

Obviously, the text "Syncovery 11.11.11, build 141, English: [Info] Limited Free Edition. Remaining Pro Evaluation Days: 29" is not a recognized parameter in /root/.Syncovery/Syncovery.cfg.
As a side note, you may notice that the trial period timer works just fine.

Any ideas how I can repair syncovery.cfg or rectify the error another way?
Maybe there is an easier and/or more robust way to install Syncovery in the first place?

I don't know exactly where the problem is. It should not be in Syncovery.cfg. Also, the "Parameter not recognized" error is probably related to something else, not the line following it.

Last time I tried Arch Linux, I could install the Debian package natively. Arch Linux has dpkg too, or at least it can be installed.

So you can install Syncovery natively with
sudo dpkg -i Syncovery-11.11.14-amd64.deb

If problems remain, it would be interesting to see the output when you simply enter
SyncoveryCL

This should start the process in the foreground, i.e. you will see useful messages in the Terminal. And you can try accessing the browser based GUI via localhost:8999.

You can also check the logs folder for files like SyncoveryCL_Exceptions.log and send it to me, if it exsists.

thank you for the quick reply!
I knew about dpkg, but I was recommended to not use it.
Nevertheless, dpkg did the trick. The daemon works without any adjustments and I can open the WebGUI.
