I was excited to see "iCloud support: Syncovery now supports both iCloud Drive and iCloud Photos." in v12 release notes
Downloaded v12 trial but was disappointed that Google Photos is not included yet. I would like to move iCloud Photos to Google photos because I still can't find a way for iCloud photos to stop taking over my iPhone, so backing up to Google Photos and then deleting from iCloud Photos was my plan.
Workaround: iCloud Photos to Google Drive, then Drive into Photos works well in a small test. (For later syncs can have Google Photos app installed on iphone to sync everything new.)
Is Google Photos in the future? (iCloud Photos in v12)

Hello,
I will add it ASAP.

Thank you so much!
When using Syncovery to connect from one cloud service to another, the files are downloaded, uploaded, and then the local copy deleted? (I assume)
I've been struggling to find a transfer method that will definitely:
- keep videos in their albums (the apple direct transfer doesn't)
- maintain the dates of photos (ex. screenshots) that don't contain EXIF data. (I tried syncovery download of screenshots and it preserved the date.)

Re: Is Google Photos in the future? (iCloud Photos in v12)
Hello,
by default, Syncovery doesn't use a local temporary file but streams the content via a memory buffer. But yes, the files are downloaded and uploaded.
So far, I have not implemented any upload to a Photos site. iCloud Photos is read-only.
I will implement uploads for Google Photos. But Google Photos is very different from Google Drive, and Syncovery is really a program for files and folders on drives.
Whether album properties can be preserved remains to be seen. I also don't know if modification times can be preserved if EXIF is missing. It depends on the Google Photos API. It might just be possible.
