Handling timestamps that are in the future

Post by Kevin04 »

I use Exact Mirror with binary comparison for building the file list, remembering results. For files that have a timestamp that is in the future, e. g. in the year 2098, Syncovery will not remember the result and instead compare the file every time the job is run, even though the timestamps and sizes in source and destination are identical.

I suppose a point can be made about future timestamps being nonsensible. I'd personally prefer the binary comparison to only take place if the timestamps differ (or other relevant metadata), no matter if the date exceeds today. Could this be added even if only as an option?
