I'm trying to setup a profile that copies the definition of symbolic links and doesn't copy the files that the link refers to. My settings are shown here in the below screenshot.
My problem is the profile is copying the definition as well as the files.
Following symbolic links
Re: Following symbolic links
Hello,
can you be more precise? Are these really symbolic links to files, or to folders?
And how are the links made? Are they really file system links, or just lnk files?
And how can Syncovery copy both the links and the files - wouldn't that be duplicate filenames, which aren't allowed on Windows?
Can you give me some examples or screenshots?
Thanks.

Re: Following symbolic links
They are real Symbolic Links to folders, not just shortcuts.
They are made using 'XYplorer' running as Administrator using its 'Paste Special > Paste As Symbolic Link(s)' option as show below. I have been trying different settings in 'General Filters' config. and now I am not getting the files copied (which is what I want), but on some profiles I'm getting the sym link copied correctly but on others the link is ignored, it's not being copied at all.
This is the 'General Filters' screenshot: The only difference I can see is that on a local L-R run I get the link copied, but on a network L-R run it doesn't copy the link.
