I tested the file transmission speed between 2 PC in the intranet.
Linux <-> Linux(local)
sftp : 60MB/s
smb : > 1GB/s
I know the file encryption affects transmission speed, and it depends on CPU.
But the transmission speed is still lower my expected.
Did I miss any setting or way to improve the transmission speed by using SFTP?
SFTP is extremely slower than smb
Re: SFTP is extremely slower than smb
Hello,
I think this is normal. SSH/SFTP is an Internet protocol for the Internet. It is not meant to copy 1 GB/sec in a LAN.
But make sure you use a recent Syncovery version and use TGPuttyLib and not SecureBlackBox.

Yes, we use latest version and use PuttyLib.
I also had a test on ethernet 1G network.
Tried FileZilla and Syncovery by using SFTP.
FileZilla reached 113MB/s.
Syncovery was still 60MB/s
Seems liks there's a limit number in Syncovery.

Hello,
no, there are no settings for TGPuttyLib.
I can reach over 100MB/sec in my network just fine.
