Re: version 10, NEW groups not sorting alphabetically
SOLVED.
go to top menu bar. click on PROFILE GROUPS.
click option to SHOW PROFILES. select OK.
this POPULATES the group names. it then sorts them.
then you can go back and UNCHECK the SHOW PROFILES (I guess it does not matter) and select OK, the list stays intact and the gropus stay sorted
EDIT #2 -
if you upgrade from version 9, and you have PROFILES that were named alike to make a group - and you then EDIT htat PROFILE name, and it is in the default group that was created from the profile name - you need to actually ASSIGN it to that group, to keep that group name present. if you edit the profile name prefix, and a group has not been assigned specifically, even though the initial group name (from the prefix) shows up, that group name may change.
so actively click on the specific group name you want.
just my observations

Hello,
many thanks. I just saw unsorted groups on the Mac version, I will look into it.
Will also think about whether renaming should be improved.

Re: version 10, NEW groups not sorting alphabetically
it has some quirks; i notice once in a while, but have not been significant enough to documnent (because i'm trying to configure three new windows 11 computers.......)
BUT, a comment - this new version is GREAT !
the GROUPINIG is fantastic.
one item, if you name something in one group (example, "main drive to usb") you need to make sure to NOT use same name in another group, because the PROIFILE matches the name; so that you would need to use "main drive to usb-2" or some such item
but overall very good !
