I'm doing all my research before I start backing up all my data. Once I set a backup schedule, I don't want to have to think about it unless there is a failure or I need to do a restore.
I have 1.5 TB of data. I'm tempted to use the SZ compression but I'm wondering how well it works over 7zip, and how painless restores are?
I love 7zip compression cause I don't need to use Syncovery to restore, but if SZ is a world better, then I might consider it.
Have any USERS used SZ compression with Backblaze B2? What are your thoughts?

Hello,
the only advantage is not needing temporary files. If temporary files aren't a problem for you, you can surely use 7-zip.

I am sure it must be faster too.
But I'm curious from the wider user base if anyone has used it and has any thoughts on it.
