is the guardian service configurable?

Hi there,
i couldn't find anything on this topic, but please feel free to give me hell if i failed at using google :D

Simple question: is it possible to configure the behaviour of the guardian service?

Some details:
- Syncovery 8.66 64bit
- we use a windows server vm to host a syncovery instance
- syncovery services are registered as normal windows services
- at a few random points in time the guardian seems to go berserk and constantly restarts the syncovery service
- if we stop the guardian and start the syncovery services once manualy, everything runs fine again
- after a reboot of the system, the guardian works fine again too
- we double checked all logs, but couldn't find anything suspicious
- since it's not a big issue right now, we just wanted to make sure if there is a configuration for the guardian which we may have a conflict with
- we couldn't find anything other then how to install the guardian itself

If needed i can provide more details, feel free to tell me what you need.

Best regards
Alcesh

Hello,
the Guardian Service is not configurable. The idea was that it should be quite simple and not with anything to configure.

When it restarts the servce, do you see any Windows events with more detailed information on why it does that?

Hi tobias,

thanks for your reply!
My colleagues analyzed the windows eventlogs and couldn't find a reason for the service restarts.
Since it's been a few weeks without any further incidents like that, i don't have access to the logs anymore.

My colleagues simply asked me to double check if the guardian could be configured in some way.
Should this happen again, i will be able to check the logs in detail.

For now my question was perfectly answered - thank you :)

Hello,
also please note that most customers do not really need the Guardian, because the main scheduler service is usually quite reliable.
