Cloud to Cloud Move

Hello -

I have all my files as an encrypted backup to Google and want to do a restore to another cloud provider (B2). But encrypted.

Is there a way to have encryption happen at both ends? Seems that only on a restore you can bring back only decrypted information.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I think you should copy the files over in their original encrypted form, so that no decryption and re-encryption would be necessary.

To do this, please set up a profile with mostly default settings. Don't choose anything under "Compression" and "Encryption".

Under Versioning>More, please make sure both the following checkmarks are chosen:

X Do Not Decode Left-Hand Filenames When Building The File List
X Do Not Decode Right-Hand Filenames When Building The File List

Then you should see the special filenames used on the backup, such as
filename.s1234.zip
or
filename.s1234.sz

Where 1234 is the original unpacked file size. Syncovery adds this to the name so it can compare files better. When you see these names, you can be sure that Syncovery won't decrypt the files during transfer.

That makes sense...

As for the copy I was assuming to make it an extract mirror from the left side to the right So when I run a delta pass a both sides mirror.

Hello,
yes Exact Mirror will be fine.
