Just curious if version 12 will be coming out for Unix/NAS -- specifically QNAP. If so roughly when it might be available. We are having an issue with multiple external drives being connected to the QNAP devices, but if version 12 might be available soon were going to wait and test on that before looking into it further.

I think it will be September. It will definitely come.

It will bring huge connectivity improvements, especially for SMB.

But external drives directly connected to a QNAP is not something where you will see any changes. We may as well look into the issues now.

I have seen issues with modification timestamps on such drives. So far I believe it's a QNAP NTFS driver problem and I don't know if I can do anything about it.

Thanks for the response. The issue we are seeing has to do with it mapping the external drive is more than one is connected. It appears to switch which drive shows up and is only showing 1 of the 2 that are connected, but between reboots or if the drive is disconnected and reconnected it might be the other drive. I saw the changes around SMB and didn't know if that might help with the issue or we might need to try to find another workaround. I will dig into the issue a bit more and see if we can find a pattern and will send you the logs if we come up with something.

it would be interesting to compare the mount points (the local paths) when they change.

Syncovery could double-check if the drive is correct, for example by checking a marker file in the root. This could be implemented via PascalScript.

Unfortunately the mounting and assigning local paths for drives is done by the system, so Syncovery doesn't have any influence on that.

To be honest, whenever possible, please attach drives to Windows PCs or servers. You can share them in the network too.
