Global Internet Protocol Settings

I'm using Syncovery 11.12.0.
Currently, we can only customize Internet Protocol Settings through the Restore Wizard window, and when this window closes, all previous settings (such as Replace Characters..., Security, etc.) are reset, which is quite inconvenient.
I hope to make Internet Protocol Settings global (i.e., changeable through Program Settings... or created as a separate option) and permanently store the changes.
P/S: Of course, a "Reset to Default" button/option could be added if users want to reset the settings in Internet Protocol Settings. This could be done for specific protocols or all of them.

Hello,
thanks for your enquiry!
Normally, you would not use the Restore Wizard at all. Instead, please click the + button to create a profile. In this profile, you can make all your settings and save them permanently.
If you need to create multiple jobs with similar settings, you can right-click a profile and duplicate it. Alternatively, you can edit a profile, change the name and paths and save it. Syncovery will ask you if you want to keep the original profile also, so you have two similar profiles but with different names and paths.
There are no global Internet Settings, because many customers use a broad mix of different Internet connection types, such as WebDAV, FTP, SSH/SFTP, S3, and cloud storages. Therefore, there are no settings that can be made globally.
However, Syncovery 11 has a new global Account Manager which can be used to store credentials and reuse them in many profiles.

Oh, I didn't know about it until you mentioned it. Honestly, Syncovery's current settings are scattered in too many places; I really hope you can group/move the most common settings into one place, that would be much more convenient.

Yes there are a lot of settings, but they are grouped and organized very well. The GUI is not going to be changed anytime soon.
You have to learn a little, but that's normal for software of this kind.
Profile create is the most basic feature which you learn initially. For the first profile, Wizard Mode helps you through the settings. And then you can switch to Advanced Mode and create more complex jobs.

Currently, it lacks hover text for icons/functions. Aside from the language change icon, which is too easy to "guess," with most other icons/functions, users won't know what they are until they click on them.

Hi,
the hints / hover text on the toolbar on the Profile Overview do show fine on my system.
Can you check if ToolTip hints are enabled in the Help menu?

Oh, it's disabled by default. You should move it to Program Settings instead of Help.
