Nothing to sync - but there is

Currently using version 10.18.4.
We've been using Syncovery for more than 6 years. It's worked great. Most of our profiles compare files and subfolders. Recently some of the jobs are not recognizing differences. One job profile group contains 4 profiles which synchronize 1 source to 4 destinations, 1 destination per profile with real-time monitoring. Yesterday we found out these jobs have stopped synching the files in the 2 subfolders. These profiles had not been updated in a long time. I manually compared one of the source and destination folders. This folder contained 1 file and the file's date, size, and contents were different. So I manually ran the profile it showed no differences. Stranger, when I changed to show the unaffected files the folder showed up, but not the file under the folder. I confirmed the paths and folder selections were correct. The profile had 1 rule defined for inclusion (\*) and no exclusion rules. Still running manually found no differences. But when I explicitly added the subfolder to the inclusion rules the real-time monitor noticed the file difference and synced immediately.

I added the same inclusion rule to each profile in the group and all of them synced the outstanding file immediately.

I had a similar issue with 1 profile in another profile group a couple of weeks ago. I deleted that profile, made a duplicate of another from the group, update the paths and everything was fine.

I thought it was just an anomaly. But now I'm wondering if there is something else going on.

I don't think there is anything "special" in these profiles. Just mirror from 1 source to 1 destination.

Has anyone else seen something like this?

Thanks!

Hello,
thanks for your problem description!

For most purposes, \* is not a valid Inclusion Mask.

You can leave the Inclusion Masks empty, or type only
*
