Hi!
I was wondering if there is an easy way to clear up older versions in a profile. I have a profile that keeps the oldest 5 versions. Today I removed a file using the "restore profile option"and then selecting delete on the right side. But I realized there is an old version that didn't get cleaned. The older versions move to a folder called "Older". Is it safe if I remove the old version manually by myself by going to the disk and deleting from windows explorer?
Actually, I would like also to know what's the preferred way to delete files from a backup. Usually I use the restore option and select "delete on the right side", specially since one of my profiles is encrypted and I can't know the name of the file unless I run the profile.
I hope the above makes sense!
Kind Regards
Remove older versions (versioning)

Hello,
yes that's all perfectly OK, you can delete from the Preview and you can also delete files directly from the Backup. That's definitely the easiest way.

Thanks Tobias!!! Deleting files directly from the backup that are not versions is also OK?
Also, is there a way in syncovery 9 to organize the profiles (move them, put them in groups/folders, etc). Thanks!

@tobias, just a nudge to see if it's possible to arrange or reorganize profiles in folders or any other way. Thank you!
Re: Remove older versions (versioning)
Hello,
profiles are grouped by the first word in the profile name.
For example, you can name your profiles like this:
Backup Documents
Backup Videos
Backup Pictures
This will create the group "Backup".

solemgar,
you can modify this to help further sort.
as tobias said, the first word, or ACTUALLY first STRING of characters (I have found including underline) will sort this
so i have created backups, wth a common first name /string and then a space, and then subsequent descriptive text, wich sorts that section
ecample
Backup_Onedrive MyFiles
Backup_Onedrive testing
Backup_Google pictures
Backup_Google testing
this way, i can use the last words as my sorting, within groups i create
but the NEATER part is that you get GROUPS with this, and you can select to back up the GROUPS, the group name gets a checkmark
Example
Backup_Onedrive ()becomes a group name, preceding the rest of this selection
Backup_Onedrive Myfiles
Backup_Onedrive testing
SO, you can CHECK the Backup_Onedrive GROUP, and backup all the SUB-titles within this group.
give it a try
