Hi Tobias
I have Syncovery 9.49g on QNAP.
How do I setup backup profile to Google Drive?
When I clicked on Container, it populated automatically with "Google Drive"
But when I clicked on Folder, it does not do anything (does not open the Google authentication/login window)
Thank You

Re: Google Drive on Qnap setup
Hello,
normally when you click "Folder", a little progress dialog appears with a link for the authorization. Make sure that the profile name field has been filled first.
If this does not work, please let the folder field empty or type the path manually and save the job.
Then you can run it "With Preview" and you should see a link "Click here to authorize Syncovery".
At the end of the authorization, you will get a page loading error because the URL is similar to this:
http://localhost:8889/?state=profile&co ... xxxxxxxxxx
You need to replace localhost in this URL with the IP address of your QNAP, such as:
http://192.168.178.35:8889/?state=profi ... xxxxxxxxxx
That page will then load but might be just blank. You can then switch back to your main Syncovery tab and it should start working. If you didn't specify the correct path yet, you can cancel it and then edit the profile normally.

Re: Google Drive on Qnap setup
Hi Tobias,
Thanks for your prompt reply as always
Unfortunately, it didn't work for me.
Steps:
1. Create the backup profile
2. Populated the "Container" as "Google Drive"
3. Leave the "Folder" as BLANK
4. Save
5. Run with Preview

Re: Google Drive on Qnap setup
Hello,
apparently some other authentication thread is hanging in the background.
Can you update to Syncovery 9.49i? This will help kill any hanging processes or threads. You should then see the authorization link in the GUI.

Re: Google Drive on Qnap setup
Hi Tobias,
Thanks, I just upgraded to 9.49i and managed to select Google drive account to login.
And you were right, at the end of the authentication, it selected localhost with default port too (http://localhost:8999); I then updated it with NAS IP and https port (e.g. https://192.168.1.26:8943?state=profile ... drive.file) and afterwards, I'm presented with Syncovery login screen.
After I logged in, nothing happened (is this expected?)
When I tried to edit the profile and click on "Internet" button (next to SMB button), the following error is presented
When I tried to "Run profile with Preview"; I'm presented with the following error - what do you think could have happened here?
I also tried to Program Settings > Cloud > Forget Cloud Access Token; unfortunately, no difference.
The only way to re-authenticate is to restart the Syncovery app from QNAP App Center

Re: Google Drive on Qnap setup
Hi,
I think there are some communication problems with the web GUI.
Can you try accessing the GUI without SSL?
http://192.168.1.26:8999/?nossl=1
Yes if this hangs you will have to restart Syncovery.

Re: Google Drive on Qnap setup
Hi Tobias
Thanks for your reply.
I just tried this; seems it works when I changed the URL to the non-SSL URL.
FROM:
http://localhost:8999/?state=profile&co ... drive.file
TO:
http://192.168.1.26:8999/?state=profile&code=4/0xxxxxxx&scope=https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive%2 ... drive.file
Perhaps a good idea to remain the portal to be https?
But all good now
Thanks for your help, as always!
