S3 Compatible storage providers

Post by paul_scl »

Hi,

Unable to get Syncovery (v9.31 on Linux) to connect to Digital Oceans S3 compatible service. To be fair, i know its not the Amazon one but it is S3 compatible.

Since you can't set a specific end point for the S3 service in Syncovery, i did try setting a proxy but that didn't work.

Any thoughts ?

Hello,
you can specify the bucketname with server URL, for example:

bucketname@myserver.xyz

For example, for Wasabi, please see here:

Yep - that did the trick. Thanks very much !

Quick observation from using this Linux version. Since its accessed via a url - i noticed - there is no "About link" so i can check the version or info about the installation. It would very convenient to jump over your site from the UI. Also - on the "Misc,Licensing" tab - It would be useful to have a direct link there to go get a license now. I found where i needed to enter a license key - then had to go find out where to get one. A direct link would make it quicker and easier.

btw - been using SFFS on and off since 2009! Just trying to get my backups cloud based now.

Thanks for the suggestions!

The Syncovery version is always shown at the top of the web GUI.
