Syncovery 11.0.13 64 bit on Win 11 Pro Education 23H2
my profile is running OK I believe, but just to know, it does give this error:
EDBException: Invalid path to add to database: \ (from \)
can this be explained and/or stopped?

Thanks! As I wrote by email, you can ignore the error. I will remove it from the next version.
It is caused by the database using different base paths from the profile.
It would be good to delete the profile's database from C:\ProgramData\Syncovery\Database
and remove the paths under Database->Special in the profile.
You could also go to the Program Settings dialog, tab sheet DB and select:
X Never allow two profiles to share the same database
