WebDAV - NAS reinstalled with same name - error

Hello,

Syncovery is used to backup data to a remote NAS via WebDAV.

I reinstalled the NAS (more space needed), using the same NAS name and DNS name.
But... the connection is now refused by Synology.

Access problem (HTTP Error 401 Unauthorized, Checkpoints: WRKEX:ChkFolExistHTTP Error 401 Unauthorized @000000000160542F)
When trying to acces via Synology from another PC, WebDAV works fine.

I suspect the WebDAV HTTPS certificate has not been renewed...

Is it possible to manualy delete it ?

Hello,
the error looks more like a username or password problem. It's not related to a certificate. It's just a login problem, or maybe Syncovery is trying to connect to a wrong IP address or port.

If the domain now points to a different IP address, maybe Syncovery hasn't got the new address yet. You could try specifying the server's IP address instead of a domain name.

Hello,

Thanks for the answer.

However, I did the expericence again : parallel configuration on 2 PC, with copy/paste of credentials (double-checked), URL and port.
It works fine on new PC, and fails on PC using the WebDAV connection before.

Same problem when using a newly created (and Admin) account.

The certificate is not even asked on first connection...

Same problem using IP address instead of URL
And same rsesult (access OK) using another WebDAV client.


The problem seems to be located into Syncovery on the PC (using this WebDAV access before reinstall of NAS).

can you send an old log file where it worked plus a new log file to support@syncovery.com?

Thanks. I would need complete unabridged log files so I can try to spot the difference.
