Using Minio S3

Post by infinitem »

I've been a long time user of syncovery and now want to make the jump to using a newly deployed Minio server as a backup destination.

I'm quite new to S3 but can't seem to get it to connect as a source. There's no option to use minio as a service but I can use AWS, I place in the access/secret id and then use the ip address in bucket? Not sure we're to define the server ip/url?

I can confirm my credentials work as I have tried this in 'Duplicati' but of course I would much prefer to use Syncovery :D

Anyone that can point out where I'm going wrong would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,
you can type bucket name and the IP address in the bucket field like this:

bucketname@123.123.123.123

Newer Syncovery versions have multiple S3 provider choices, one of them being:
Custom (bucketname@host.url)

In older Syncovery versions, you can do the same even if the provider choices dropdown is not present.
