Hello,
since few days I own an iPhone 11. For backup reason: Is Syncovery (Windows and Synology) able to connect and download from iCloud? Otherwise I have to do the backups manually from iCloud.
That iFoto uploads automatically to iCloud I have already figured out.

Re: Access for iCloud/Foto and iCloud/Drive
Hello,
Syncovery cannot connect to iCloud. But it can copy photos directly from the iPhone if you connect it with a USB cable and click the "Device" button in Syncovery.

Re: Access for iCloud/Foto and iCloud/Drive
OK, thanks, that works for JPG and MOV. Would it be possible to implement that the original files will be downloaded? I've figured out that JPG and MOV will be created from HEIC and HEIV during download resp. copying. Strange! Why is Apple doing such crazy things? It can be checked in iCloud if the download button will be hold for a few seconds. Than the original files will be offered for download.

Hello,
you need to change a setting on your iPhone to prevent the automatic conversion.

Thanks to your proposal, Tobias, it works. It is valid only for newly created images. For prior created images the download as HEIC works only via iCloud.

Re: Access for iCloud/Foto and iCloud/Drive
Hi,
well I can see many HEIC images in Windows Explorer now, even for older photos, even though I only just changed the setting to keep the originals.
But I did have to unplug the USB cable and then reconnect it.

Re: Access for iCloud/Foto and iCloud/Drive
Once again! Thanks for the hint.
Another issue w/r to Syncovery: How can I set that Syncovery does not copy files already copied (by Syncovery) but deleted afterwards on right side?

Hello,
you can use the SmartTracking mode for this, with otherwise default settings.

Alternatively, if the source drive is a Windows drive (not iPhone or FTP/cloud), then you can use the Archive Attribute filters. To do that, you need to choose the two "Archive Flag" checkmarks under Masks & Filters -> General Filters in the profile.
