Mass update on existing profiles

Post by gropat »

Hello,
We are working with many profiles, and each one is setup with the "Override Email Settings.." ticked.
Unfortunately, the mail address is no longer available. Then I need to updated profile one by one, with a new mail address.

Is there a method to mass updated existing profiles ?

In the menu File, I saw the Tools option including a Multi Edit tool...But I don't know how it's working.
Is it possible to reach the Syncovery database with a SQL editor ?
Thank you very much
Patrick

Hello,
the email addresses are stored in Syncovery.ini.

If you are very careful, you can use a search & replace feature of a good text editor like NotePad++. The new email address must have the same length as the old one. If it's shorter, you need to add space characters at the end. If it's longer, then you need to add the space characters at the end of the old address, so that the search and replace strings have the same length.

Make a backup of Syncovery.ini before doing this.

The lines where these email addresses are in are very long and in binary form. Nothing else must be modified, no word wrap etc.

Hello Tobias,
The mass update is done with success.
As the Syncovery.ini seems to be updated each time profiles are launched, I stopped the scheduler before the mass update step.
Thank you very much for your help,
