Re: Why change sync copy mode when switching sides?

Thanks, the drawback to copy direction is I stupidly forget to always unclick the original side first so correctly it comes off of exact sync which is why I used switch sides. Yes creating separate jobs is probably the best option; the drawback is I have a number of jobs including some linked to the...

Re: Why change sync copy mode when switching sides?

Whichever way I change, click switch sides or unclick left to and click right to it ends up changing Sync mode. Some times on the second change of direction but usually as soon as changed. Clearly if I were Syncing both sides I can see you can’t have Exact Mirror so if it should maintain Sync type i...

Why change sync copy mode when switching sides?

As above, I copy between PC and laptop. When I transfer them onto the PC from the laptop why do I have to reminder to select exact copy? If a jobs setup why can’t it just be left as I selected it?

It was the NAS reporting attepts and was locking the address after 5 failed logons. My son has been throgh it all and locked it down better, it was odd as he used Synologhy to my NAS using SFTP on port 22 but in the firewall the only address given access rights is his PC address. We had no mproblems...

Re: Synology DSM7 Support

Closed the SSH down as had atcks blocked by SynoNAS this evening, form
209.141.61.58 and 171.235.81.236. Some how I clearly have top set it up to only work from my PC and no other address. For now I thing manual updates on the NAS is safer.

Re: Synology DSM7 Support

I tried the installer and you must excuse my lack of knowledge on what to do with any of this, but I expect I am probably not the only one lost. I have Synology on a Synology NAS and at present the usefulness of updating via the Linux Installer is not great as I don’t need to reapply the access perm...
