Re: Concatenate Left-Side Folders

Hello, many thanks. Yes I think you will need more than one profile, but maybe not three. A settings that Syncovery has is: "Flat right side (no folders)". This is on the Folders tab sheet. It can be useful when collecting files from multiple subfolders and putting them all in the same folder on the...

Re: Concatenate Left-Side Folders

For example, what I need to know is:
- will there be any subfolders at all on the right-hand side?
- is this a one-time or repeated job?
- are files going to be deleted too, and do the deletions have to be reflected on the destination?

etc.

More details please!

Thanks.

Re: Wasabi, MountainDuck transfer speed slow

Hello, you need to avoid MountainDuck because Syncovery supports Wasabi directly, natively. Just click the Internet button and choose the S3 protocol and then the correct Wasabi endpoint. This selection is available in the latest Syncovery versions. Older versions need you to specify the bucket like...

Re: Block-level copying keeps writing the whole file

Hello, thanks for the update! Depending on the file system, sometimes the timestamps might be interpreted as UTC and sometimes as local timezone. The issue is rare nowadays, under Windows, but might still happen sometimes when Linux mounts non-native file systems like NTFS or exFAT. Maybe even with ...

Re: Cannot connect to SMB Share on EMC Unity Array

Hello, for many small files, you just need to increase the number of "files to copy in parallel" on the Files tab sheet. You can easily set it to 10-30 on a LAN. Also on the Files tab sheet, make sure you did NOT choose "Bypass File Buffering". That would be very bad. But, something that can speed u...

Re: Cannot connect to SMB Share on EMC Unity Array

Hello again, of course ways to speed this up depend very much on the copying direction(s). If you copy to the NAS only, you can use "Cache Destination File List". If you copy from the NAS, or both ways, you can use Real-Time Sync, but on Windows only. It defaults to making one complete scan and then...

Re: Cannot connect to SMB Share on EMC Unity Array

Hello, the internal SMB button in Syncovery for Linux is just a quick and dirty way to connect to SMB shares. It might be sufficient for some low profile use cases, but it will be much slower than the Windows version, as it can do single-threaded operations only (due to using libsmbclient). You real...
