Re: General (and probably crazy) questions on backing up to Google Drive
Hi, oh, OK, thanks. That statement is mostly misleading. It refers to the old real-time mode "Process Individual Events", which is generally not recommended. And it would only delete files if it actually sees and processes the event. If a deletion event is missed, possible because the scheduler is o...

Re: General (and probably crazy) questions on backing up to Google Drive
Hello, if you need to mirror deletions, you need to choose "Exact Mirror" mode. Standard Copying does not do any deletions. Under Files->Deletions in the profile, you can choose whether to use the Google Drive recycle bin for your deleted files. The Sz format can theoretically handle these sizes, bu...

Re: Exclude subfolders
Hi,
yes there is a big difference.
*bin* would exclude files and folders named for example
Robin Hood
Binary Files
dump.bin
But bin excludes just bin.
You could theoretically type *\bin\* but there is no reason to do it. It only makes the processing unnecessarily complicated.

Re: Disable file converstion with two way Google Drive Sync
Hello,
there is no way to copy a native Google Doc from one Google Drive to another, except by converting it on download and then again on upload. You should work with Shared Folders instead.
Yes Syncovery can create links instead, see the checkmark "Create Links to Online Docs".

Re: Disable file converstion with two way Google Drive Sync
Hi,
I will check it. With these settings it should skip the files.
But of course it won't skip a local png file.

Re: Exclude subfolders
Hello, yes this will be made more flexible in a future version. Special requirements can currently be fulfilled with a PascalScript function. For example, to exclude only bin folders: function OnIncludeItem(const FileName, RelativePath: UnicodeString; const isRightSide, isFolder:Boolean; const FileS...

Re: Exclude subfolders
The best way is to type just
bin
This will exclude all items named bin everywhere, and of course subfolders too.

Re: Internet Protocol Settings
Hello,
not yet, I hope to add this in Syncovery 11.
What you can do is duplicate and modify and existing profile, or simply edit it, change the profile name and paths and you're done.

Re: Exact Mirror settings - still copying files
Hello, it sounds like the file modification timestamps are different. If they are off by a few hours due to timezones, you can increase the number of exact hour differences to tolerate, in the profile under "Comparison". Alternatively, you can let Syncovery make the timestamps match so you won't hav...
