Re: two-way copying, rename folders on RIGHT instead of left?
Hello, you can change the radio button in the Sync Preview to "Adjust Them: On the Right". I don't think that your profile is set to move files on the right side. Otherwise, the radio button "On the Right" would be pre-selected. Please double-check. Previous Syncovery versions would change the radio...

Re: How can I export configuration/everything so I can import it later?
Hi, you can manually put the cfg file in the correct folder on the new system, while Syncovery is stopped. The cfg file is an SQL database, so it cannot be replaced while Syncovery is running. Note that passwords and cloud access tokens will be lost because the password encryption is locked to speci...

Re: What is the best protocol to use?
Hello, thanks for your enquiry! Personally I like SFTP (which is based on SSH) very much. It is the only one of these protocols where Block Level Copying is supported. However, is doesn't have automatic server certificate verification like FTPS and WebDAV have. Instead, Syncovery will show you the S...

Re: Setting up VM backup
Hello, if the files appear in a new folder every day, then none of these block level or Synthetic backup settings will have any effect. The files will be seen as new files every time, and therefore no block level copying will work. You probably just need to keep a certain number of backups, and each...

Re: root-folder suddenly appears in OneDrive Sync
Hello, I do not have any additional information. The new folder is simply reported by the API. I think it allows you do access some special folders which were previously not accessible. Excluding it should not cause any errors. To ensure that it's only excluded on the top level, you can actually put...

Re: root-folder suddenly appears in OneDrive Sync
Hello,
no, the root folder is a new feature of the OneDrive API.
If you don't like it, you can type
root
in the Exclusion Masks.

Re: Get a list of empty folders via email?
Hi,
that's really difficult. What do you mean with "pick an arbitrary date"? Does the profile use the same left and right base paths every time?
What can be done is to send an email if there were no files to copy.
