Re: Data Integrity doesn't detect deleted files

I'm so sorry. I'm not finding a solution. I want: Copy from source to destionation Use compression (SZ) Use compressed packages All encryption options Then Run the copy once: copy ~1.5TB The source starts to have more files, if I run it a second time it copies ONLY the new files to destination If a ...

Re: Data Integrity doesn't detect deleted files

Ok I continued to test this combinations but without any success. I've done the following: - choose "SmartTracking" - Use SZ compression, multiple files per package - enable "Binary comparison of existing files" - Delete all files after first backup If you Test Backup integrity: no errors If you try...

Re: Filename leaking even when encryption is enabled

Thank you for replying. Well I add the suggestion to. 1) add files until files-per-package is hit 2) if max-file-to-put-in-package is hit, split the archive 2a) edge case is if the file being compressed is way bigger, but it is an approximation to the limit and not a hard limit Since right now this ...

Re: Filename leaking even when encryption is enabled

Hello, thanks for sending the test files and log! I found the cause - the option "Max file size to put in package" on the Compressed Package Dialog is totally misleading. What it means that larger files than the specified lmit will not be zipped or encrypted at all. But the filename is encrypted, w...

Re: 100% same settings. fails with .sz but not with .zip compression

Oh ok. thank you so much for your reply.
Nice achievements. My concern of losing access to the data that I'm storing right now in 20 years from now should be more ok with a free tool around.

Re: 100% same settings. fails with .sz but not with .zip compression

I will check it. Can you also send the log file to support@syncovery.com please? Done. Yes it is a proprietary format, but I will also soon release a free standalone SzArchiver tool. Thank you. This makes a huge difference. Aren't these same features possible with open standards such as zstd or lz4...

Re: Data Integrity doesn't detect deleted files

Thank you for explaining.

I'll try to exercise these settings combinations.

These are a lot of undocumented conditions/restrictions/limitations :-)
